Hard disk gb maximum

Hello here is the homepage:

The mainboard does not have a limit for the harddrive size.
But the windows system sometimes have a limit especially windows xp.
A new sata driver or a bios upgrade is sometimes needed when you add a big harddrive.
Note: take care not to flash the bios with a wrong one if needed.
And also the new drive must be formatted ( in NTFS format ) before you can use it.
If you still run windows xp, try to make more partitions, so windows can see the new drives.
Other system like windows 7, does not have this limit.

Good luck

Resetting vaio GRV680 to factory settings

You will need a restore disk that came with the machine if you got one or a restore partition on the hard drive or you need a genuine copy of your version of windows.

Will not record but was, now says no hard disk

The harddrive has probably failed on the unit. With the limited information you have supplied that is the best information I can give you. Check your owners manual for the steps to replace the harddrive.

Install windows 7 on eeebox 1501p harddrive is

Win 7 will format it as NTFS if the drive is new enough.
The only drawback with FAT32 apart from speed is the 1256 Character limit on file names.

I have a Maxtor Portable Harddrive which I use to transport data. That way I can work with the same documents hatever computer I am on. I want to back it up but don't want to just copy and paste. How can I...

Most Portable hard drives come with back up software.
Check and see if this is the case.
One of the best file managers Ztreewin can be found here.
This is NOT a DOS application!
You can tag files across network drives, partitions and copy them all at once. Duplicate directory structures, sort, search file names and file contents. Limited mouse support, it is actually easier and FASTER to use the keyboard. Sort by day, date time, file size. Too many options to list here.
Fully functional version but time limited. Meaning you can use it for a short time (30 days) then decided if it is worth purchasing.

Cobian backup is another good tool to have.
It is free and can be found here.

Good luck!
Hope this helps!

Lead from external harddrive to tv- to show films,--usb connection from harddrive to 15pin to tv

Dear ragalgey,
As far As I can remember, most TV design to receive the signal to watch whatever you want limited to available TV station in your local broadcaster.
If you think you connect your harddrive to TV USB or 15pin (VGA cable) then you can watch the movie file from harddrive is a totally wrong!
You need a drive or a player for those file that capable to configure your TV to play them. Or at least you need a PC or Laptop Computer that played your harddrive then send the images/video via Video Out Jack (Yellow) from your laptop, or connect the 15pin VGA jack from Laptop PC out then plug in to your TV. In this case you'll need the Jack/adapter to convert from 15pin VGA from laptop to available Video jack on your TV.
Good Luck!

Best Regards,

Can I add more of hard disk to my "sony vaio pcv-rx670"? if yes is there any limitation for that or not? I mean should i use any specific size or not or even any specific brand? should it be the same as...

Any Brand Is Ok. No Specific size.
There isn't much of a limitation, except what your windows operating system allows. xp or newer at least 500gb.

If you plan to use it as storage space, you have to set the new harddrive as slave, and the old harddrive to master.

hope this helps.
