Question about Dell Latitude D530 Notebook
I was transfering files on my Inspiron D530 laptop when the bottom third of the screen turned rainbow colors. I can't see anything behind the colors so it renders the entire lower third of my screen unusable.
I know it's some sort of display problem because I did a screen shot and the colors didn't show up on it. Please help.
Reseat the display cable (under the keyboard) and while you have the lcd hinge cover off, inspect the cable where is goes thru the hinge assembly for chafing and possible broken wires.
If reseating doesn't help, RUN DIAGS
If they fail then replacing the LCD display cable and or the LCD would be next.
