That clicking could be a relay that has gone bad. They click when they are good too so if the relay is working you might want to check the wiring between the relay and the starting circuit.

Check your remote starter manufacturer for schematics and parts number for a replacement relay if necessary.

try this.. disconnect the vehicle battery entirely, connect a 10 amp battery charger to the car connectors matching the terminal leads..and power the car with the charger..you should hear a hum or buzz in whichever relay or circuit breaker is bad.. replace this relay and the lights and stuff should work..the charger will not direct-short but the guage may go full over indicating a malfunction..or extreme load.. maybe a window switch might be fried..you should be able to hear any issues as long as power is coming from the charger only...repost findings..

Car 97 camry wont start but lock and unlock work

Won't start with the key? The issue is with the car. Won't REMOTE start, the issue may be with the hood pin switch (located under the hood) or, if it's an older system, the issue may be with a toggle switch under the dash.

Clicking noise under dash

I would change the oil and filter, including proper weight oil. Then I would test again after sitting overnight. Maybe you'll be fortunate and it was due to an overdue oil change. If it still persists, there might be a problem with a hydraulic lifter draining overnight

98 ford windstar has clicking noise under dash and won't start

The clicking noise is most likly the starter solinoid cycling in and out. This is due to low battery voltage. charge the battery, then have the battery and charging system tested. Some auto supply stores will do this for free for you in the hopes of selling parts

good luck
