cleaned glass. got soapy water on inside of door w/out access. took the 4 screws off and now cant match the side holes to return to original. I want to remove inner door panel and wipe the other side of glass. I thought I'd have to lift door off hinges first, however it wouldn't lift, so I didn't want to force. What to do now?

I have same Kitchenaid oven and my glass is dirty too. Between the glass panels. I'm now cleaning the oven and am reading that this may destroy the thermostat on the Kitchenaid. Do you know anything about how to dismantle the door to clean the glass, or whether the cleaning cycle will damage the oven? Thx.

First its a whole lot of effort for very little return second there are two 100 pieces of glass in there and three it will just do it again but if you still want to reply with the brand and model number ill give you the procedure most of the time its backed on and leaves a stain even after cleaning

How do i remove the glass from the door

The oven door glass panel is a sealed unit that is not intended to be removed for "cleaning". The unsightly residue between panes accumulates because the metal seal expands while the oven is heating.

How to clean inside glass oven door

Taking the door off the oven and lay door on a soft surface so as to prevent scratching ,taking the door apart ( Carefully ), allow for a large work space, lay out your screws, the glass you are trying to reach is an inner glass, so obviously self clean is not going to help. Good luck!

You will have to take the door apart to get to the glass that needs to be cleaned out. I would not recommend doing a self clean on an oven that is that old.

Is it possible to clean between the two pieces of glass on the oven doors?

You would need to take the door apart, and even then the glass isn't really made to be taken apart. So it COULD be done, but it would be easier to buy new glass and replace it. It all depends on how much you want it to look clean.

Need to clean the inside of glass on maytag's oven precision 500.

I have a GE range. The oven has a glass window. There are an inside and an outside glass. Somehow the inside of the two glases has gotten dirty. How can I clean this? Can I take the door apart? Thanks

Spills in between glasses of the oven door.

The door must be taken apart at least most of the way to clean glass. Just so you know, this is a problem with a LOT of the newer makes and models. If there are 2 screws behind the handle, take them out and some of them come apart enough to get your hand a paper towel in to clean. Otherwise, the door must be removed and completly diss-assembled.
