Question about GE Profile Spectra JGBP90 Gas Kitchen Range
I have a GE Profile XL44 Dual Fuel Convection oven purchased in 2004. Yesterday as I was lighting one of the gas burners the digital clock display went blank/disappeared. Now, I can get no response from pushing any buttons on the display panel. I tried pressing the BAKE and BROIL HI/LOW buttons and the same time for 3 seconds, but no response. Also, I checked our circuit breaker and that was fine. The burners on the stove work, as does the electric light in the oven when I open the oven door, but I am unable to turn on the oven or get the clock display back by pressing buttons on the display. Please advise.

Most likely the oven ignitor is bad or weak. You can look at it and see how it compares to the broil ignitor. If you see a whitish color on the ignitor and if it doesn't fully glow then it needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: Bake ignitor Location
Hi Kurt, welcome to FixYA!
In the diagram below, Part #28 is your ovwn ignitor. (See the red markings to highlight it)
It is located underneath the oven floor, and the floor should come out by removing the two screws located in the bottom rear of the oven cavity. Take out the racks, take out those two screws, and lift the oven bottom up from the rear, then disengage the front lip and lift it out. I hope this is helpful info and thanks for allowing us to be of service to you.

SOURCE: Bake mode will not work
Is the bake igniter working ? There are two igniters one for bake and one for broil My guess is that the bake igniter is bad and only the broil igniter is working. part #WB2X9154.
