Neither has a clue! there are no torx screws on a Canon printer, and if you could get the absorber replaced, you wouldn't have access to the service mode to reset the counter. It's a shop repair.

It isn't an easy task! First of all you need to know how to remove the cover from your printer. This normally comprises of two Torx screws which are evident on top when you open the lid. after removing these you would need to flip open several plastic latches around the base of the printer which hold the top cover onto the frame.( You may have to disconnect the panel cable from the op panel as you remove the cover - don't forget to re-connect it when you replace the cover later!)
Once done, the Cartridge cleaning station is to be seen under where the cartridges park when not in use. In order to get to it you will see a white plastic wheel (Low on the RHS ) which puts the Cleaning Station through it's cycle when driven by it's motor.
Remove the connector to the motor and, with a small flat screwdriver engaging the notches in the wheel, push the wheel round until the cartridge holder is free to move to the left along the carriage, clearing the Cleaning station. You will find a small Torx screw either at the front of the cleaning station (Seen as a plastic box/tray with felt pads in it) or at the RHS of the station. Remove this screw and then push the station towards the rear of the printer frame and lift from the front at the same time. It should then lift out towards you. ( You would be well advised to be wearing a pair of surgical gloves at this time, cleaning stations are particularly messy!) and don't attempt this operation on your best table cloth!
Having removed the station you can now remove the ink soaking pads, in order, empty the tray and soak the pads in an alchohol solution to remove the ink.
(Lightly soapy water may do the trick if no Isopropyl Alchohol is available. Don't use the best Vodka! What a waste!) When the station is cleaned up you can just put everything back in reverse order.
Good luck.
Any problems get back to me.
Cheers
Ian

"The waste ink absorber is almost full" message?

This applies to the CANON PIXMA MP130 and other ink-jets made by Canon/Pixma.

According to the user's manual, "Ink used to clean the print head is absorbed by the waste ink tank. When this message is displayed, the waste ink tank needs to be replaced, or the machine requires maintenance". There is no information about how to replace or empty the waste ink tank.

In any case, you can try the following to clear up the error, but eventually you'll need the waste tank to be emptied or replaced. And as far as I know, you can't find the replacement parts to buy, nor the instructions to empty the waste tank.

Turn on your MP130.
1) After that press: Menu - Scan - Copy - Scan or Menu-Copy-Scan-Copy-Copy in some models, it depends on the date it was produced)
2) Select TEST MODE.
3) Enter NVRAM ACCESS
4) Select SET ABS-M LEVEL TO 0
5) Select OK
6) Keep selecting OK untill you leave the TEST MODE

Then turn it OFF and again ON. Check if the error message is still there.
The following is taken from the Canon website, regarding this specific error:

"Canon recommends having the printer serviced before the absorber becomes full. We are aware that there are many "do-it-yourself" Web sites that offer instructions for making this repair. Replacing the ink absorber is a complicated and potentially messy procedure. Even if the ink absorber is successfully changed, the ink absorber counter must be reset. Be aware that if you attempt this procedure, it is at your own risk."

As I mentioned before, I have not found any way or procedure to empty or replace the waste ink absorber nor the necesary replacement part.

Where is a waste ink i have error message says WASTE INK NEAR FULL help me on that, thanks

I have had this problem. There is a counter in your printer that must be reset to move on. The ink tank may not be full, but the counter estimates it is full (and maybe it is an instruction to you to buy a new Canon printer), and to actually empty the ink tank would be an uneconomical task. How do you do it, there are a number of helpers here so Google: MP730 waste ink near full.

Here are all the flashing explanations:

Two flashes: Out of paper or paper feed error

Reload the paper correctly and press the RESUME/CANCEL button.

Three flashes: Paper jam

If paper has jammed in the printer, clear the jam, reload the paper in the printer correctly and press the RESUME/CANCEL button.

Four flashes: Empty ink tank

If you press the RESUME/CANCEL button, it will continue printing with an empty ink tank. After printing is finished, replace the ink tank immediately. If you continue printing with an empty ink tank, it may cause damage to your printer.

Refer to your Quick Start Guide for instructions on how to replace an ink tank.

Five flashes: No print head installed/Defective print head

Install the print head. Also, ensure that the protective tape has been removed.

If reinstalling the print head does not solve the problem, replace it with a new one. Contact the Customer Care Center.

Eight flashes: Waste ink tank almost full

Press the RESUME/CANCEL button to cancel the error so you can continue printing. Before the waste ink tank becomes completely full, contact the Customer Care Center.
