Question about XRS 797 Radar Detector
That's the X band detector. X band was the first radar band used for speed enforcement, but it was replaced by K and KA bands later on. Many store security systems have X band emissions that trip false alarms on radar detectors. If your detector has a "city mode" (as mine calls it), enable that. It'll stop falsing on X band signals while still warning you about the common police bands.
