No power at all. Neither the Master Power switch nor the other power switch on the side cause anything to happen

My 42HDS69 has been flawless for about 8 months. Today it just shut off. No leds and power switches do nothing. Tried plugging into other outlets to no avail. Could it be just a fuse or is this a symptom that can be easily isolated to avoid the inconvenience of lugging this 90 lb. monster somewhere for repair?

Hi! I have a hitachi 55HDS52 plasma; one day, the picture completely went black - the sound was still coming thru, and the green light was on, but no picture. tried restarting the main power, turning tv on and off, and dusting by the air vents. nothing. what kind of damage are we talking here??

SOURCE: My tv was playing fine when I turned it off.

OK, YES you CAN turn on the TV without the remote, in fact you can do nearly everything that can be done on your remote, on the TV itself, NOW look, CAREFULLY around the edged or sides of your set, you will find there are "Buttons" usually there are 6 - 7 Buttons, if you look carefully at them you will see they are marked, usually with a Volume Up & Down, word, or symbol, A Channel Up & Down, buttons a Menu, an Enter, and an ON/OFF button, & sometimes others. Now To turn on, Press and hold the Power button, the TV will Turn ON, you can change Channels, with the Channels, and Volume, with the Volume ones. The Menu button, will allow selection to all the other sub menus and settings. IF you need to get a remote, Please, get an original, it may be more hassle, it may take longer to get, it maybe costs more... BUT IT WILL WORK. Universal remotes, well, read through a few posts dealing with them, and you will see what I mean. IF you MUST get one, absolutely ensure that it performs every function the original one did, or you can have many headaches.

I have a 32" RCA LCD tv , rlc3210 power input says

Is it hooked up with HDMI cable?

If so try unplugging the HDMI cable and re plugging the cable in, sometimes those cables work loose and if they are not tight, it will cause your screen to flicker. Happens to my TV once in awhile.

Works fine but turns off Sporadically

seems like the tv power supply is having some issues.. you might want to try leaving the television unplug over night.. and turn it on the next day .. if the tv still turns off by it self then try plug in the tv straight to the wall or try a power strip if the problem is still there.. then the television's power supply will have to be replace or repair..

There is a 3rd party repair center that is able to service Olevia televisions.. the service center is called Amergence Technology 866-965-3842 they could get you a repair quote..

Polaroid has always been known to have a bad dvd assembly. Easy to replace, 4 or 5 plugs, high failure part, hard to get and usually out of stock.

Unplugging my TV for 15 seconds (longer actually - at least a minute) made the remote and the satellite TV remote both work again with the TV.  Thanks for the tip!
