One of three things could be causing this problem. First, the inverter may need to be replaced. Second, the lcd itself may have blown. Finally, the IC display chip on the motherboard may need to be replaced. You can eliminate the IC display chip by connecting an external monitor to your laptop. If the laptop displays on the external monitor then I would suggest visiting ebay and purchasing a replacement screen. Be sure it includes the inverter. Check engine light come ons after start for approx. 8 seconds and goes off. bike is running fine, all features function normal. Please advise...

Although I know very little about the newer computer controlled fuel systems, this sounds about right to me. As long as the light goes out and the bike runs normally, ride it. I don't think it's anything to be concerned about. It sounds like the fuel system may be a slight bit rich on startup and the oxygen sensor is detecting this temporary condition.

Good Luck

Hp pavillion dv2500 laptop- LEDs glow, fan noise may be heard briefly, display remains black, and computer fails to startup or boot

This sounds like the possibly infamous Nvidia GPU defect. It is caused by heat, over time the solder fractures and separates from the board. Typically the solution is either repair it (temporary fix) or get a new board and hope for the best.

My Acer ONE netbook will not startup. I plug it

Hello,
power is there in your system so try following DIY:
1.Refix the battery once.
2.Any windows sound is there or not while turning on? if yes then issue with LCD.
2.Please check while turning on all the LEDS asre blinking for a once or not? If not, then the issue is with mainboard.
3.If the LEDs are blinking once and there is no display then the issue might be with RAM and refix them once.
If refixing doe not rsolve the issue then need to change.

Thanks.

Toshiba Satellite Laptop with distorted picture

Hi there again.
Yes it does sound like display drivers although it could be the bios graphics controller or the graphics chip so keep an eye on the startup screen for the same thing. In the meantime right click on computer, select manage from the sub menu, then select device manager, it will generate a list of devices, click on the + icon next to display adapters, right click on one from the drop down list and select uninstall, restart the pc and let the operating system re-install the drivers automatically, this should hopefully resolve your problem.
Please keep an eye on the bios/post screen because that could be an indication of more serious issues.
I hope this sorts out the problem for you.

Kind regards and thanks for using FixYa!!

Canon A75 No startup sound & display on LCD, rest of things works fine

Think it might be your batteries. 700mah batteries are pretty weak by today's standards (most are at least 2,500 mah these days). I'm guessing your batteries are several years old? If so, they're really only meant to have a usable shelf life of a few years, whether they are used or not. Recommend trying a new set of rechargeable batteries.
