Melted Crockpot!!!!!!

Ultrex by Innova Inc. Model # 14059. I turned it on auto and about 45 minutes, luckily i was home, I smelled plastic burning. The bottom of the pan as well as the side was melting and has burned our counter top. Was there any recalls on this, i did not see any. Please contact me with email to send pictures of the damage.

Was anything in the crockpot at the time it melted?

Then my best guess would be the sensor in the bottom of the crock-pot. Although I asked a few people and was told that this isn't uncommon, perhaps try another brand.
