Screen cracked screen is cracked. large black blots over screen obscure view. screen now flickers and is hard to stop flickering.

The flexible PCB, (feeds the screen) is either damaged or the connector has come loose.

What is the model number to your TV? Is it an LED LCD TV? Anyway, the fault is related to its back light. Contact the authorized service center for Sony. Need to replace the display flex ribbon cable to solve the flickering and color lines problem. This cable gets damage over the time of long usage.

sounds like a loose connection somewhere. find a local computer repair shop. Often those guys can diagnose a common problem just by glancing at the symptoms. GeekSquad is great but costs lots.

If for example a Samsung it is in the power supply of the set--no brand or model number indicated here so that limits the scope of a possible answer.

Try an external monitor to the laptop and see if it flickers. If it does, more than likely your video card is going bad. If it does not flicker on the external monitor you probably have a loose video cable or lcd inverter cable. Go back inside and remove the 2 cables that go into the LCD Inverter that sits at the bottom of the LCD Screen, then plug them back in. Then unplug the video cable at the top behind the lcd screen, plug it back in and secure it with a piece of tape right where the two connections meet.

The reason the screen flickers is simply because the module of the laptop is faulty. The module is what connects the screen to the main board, it is like a flex for the screen. Once you can have it replaced, the screen will stop flickering.

you need to remove main ckt, (m.board) some part need to re solder specially in hot area. (lost contact i one of the flickering problem you encountered.

just open the system and reseat the display cable...

Hi, i noticed that when I unplugged my HP the screen stopped flickering. I then re-plugged in the power, when to the Nvidia control settings, to PowerMizer, and changed 'ac outlet' to Maximum Power Saving.

Not the world's greatest solution, but hey, working laptop now.
