Question about Itronix GoBook IX250 Notebook

2 Answers

Ram Question Hello, I had two 128 mb of pc 133 ram in my GoBook, I recently aqcuired a 256 mb stick of PC 133 ram and swapped out a stick of 128 MB for it, but the system only recognized the 256 stick now. Do I have to have equal amounts in both slots for it to work? Seeing as to this is an older computer I didn't think this would be neccesary, as it isn't a dual core processor. Any knowledge or information would be appreciated.

Re: Ram Question

These machines have a MAX of 512MB, but it can only achieve that if two LOW DENSITY 256mb sticks are used. Preferably PC100, and not PC133. I'm typing this on a IX250 with a P3 1ghz (SL53S) and 512MB ram. Hope this helps.

I have an Acer TravelMate 514T PC Notebook running with only 64MB RAM, and I want to put in a 256 MB RAM. How do I make the notebook recognize the 256 MB RAM card?

Mostly what I came across this models they only can detect until 128 mb and they do run a little faster than having 64 mb.And see if the card is pc100. and it is also dependent on what is your operating system is.If your notebook memory slot is two get two 128mb and you'll have 256mb.

Does Toshiba Portege 3490CT ram can be bigger than 128. If so adv availability & selling outlet please.

The motherboard has 128 MB memory (soldered on board). However there is still empty slot for further upgrade. You can install another 128 MB PC100 SDRAM memory to get maximum of 256 MB.

I would like to nwom how much of memory this laptop support

The Thinkpad is installed with 128 MB SDRAM is standard, and is expandable to 512 MB
There are two memory slots, to expand it to 512 Mb you need two 256 Mb RAM modules and throw away the 128 Mb RAM module, but if you don't throw away this module and you insert a 256 Mb RAM module in the 2nd memory slot then your total memory would be 384 Mb.

My Dell C600 won't recognize the 2 new 256 mb sticks of RAM

i think you need a same brand of 256 for it to work? and when you buy something for your computer make sure that the one you both is the same brand or code with your 128 for example you have 128 ddr2 sdram so you can only upgrade it with 256 ddr sdran or 512mb,1gb,2gb ddr sdram.

IBM a20m ram issues

If they are compatible but your machine isn't happy with them, it sounds like they're faulty. Return both sticks to the retailer and ask them to replace both, just in case they replace the good one and give you the faulty one back.
