Question about Kitchen Ranges

Older model Vulcan propane gas range/oven

Trying to determine if the service guy gave the right answer - stove runs intermittently - service guy said there was a "bad seam" and it is not repairable?  Stove is about 12 y.o.

Get a good fitting wrench and tighten this spud down and open the air shutter on the burner.
This video shows how to tackle a crank down and flip type LP conversion whilst yours might be a bit more fancy it still must be adjusted like any other stove:

We are cranking up this BRAND NEW Vulcan flat top. Weh have the convection oven below up and running, but we can't even see a pilot light for the flat top. Advice anyone? Culinary-yours Chef Geir

older ovens have pilots but the newer machines are electronic ignition, there are ignitors in the oven and electrodes or ignitors on the top burners, when you turn the knob for the burner you should hear a clicking sound and see a spark around the burner, that's what lites the burner, the gas comes in and the spark ignites it,i don't know much about your machine but it can't be any different from other stoves.if none are sparking there should be a spark module in there or they could have separate modules,if you send the full model number i can look it up for you

Iwant to change from natural gas to propane, wehat

If you live WAY out in the sticks, all you need is a tank of propane and the reqired fittings,BUT,if you live in the good old suburbs or the city you'd better have the gas company do the job. After all they have to shut off the gas feed to your house anyway. Good luck,Dana

Coverting a Vulcan 260L commercial range to Propane

Yes you can convert to LP gas. go to this web site to get the parts.
Go to page 9 and look at parts # 57 - 60 that is the part you need to change. You need to know the sea level that you are at though so you get the right part.
Now if you go to page 8 you will find where it goes part # 53 thru 61
To order the parts go to this web site
If any ? please fill free to ask.
