Samsung PN50B450 50 Inch On-Off Problem

I purchased this TV about a year ago and for some reason it will not turn on anymore. It just clicks once, the screen comes on but doesn't show anything and clicks again, then off. I've tried the simple stuff. Not really sure where to go with it now..

My TV went blank. The screen is black. The green power lifgt comes on but nothing works. I tried changing the source but nothing shows up,nor when you push menu or any other button. The batteries in...

Try unplugging the power. With it unplugged, attempt to power it on and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Repeat this 30 second hold.
Plug it back in and turn it on.

Where did you buy it? How long ago.
We had an issue with our TV a year ago. We bought ours at SAM's Club. I took it back over a year after purchase. I had purchased the extended warranty.
They told me to pick out a replacement, comparable TV. I got the same size TV, the new one was cheaper by $150. It was a better TV. They gave me the $150 on a gift card on top of the newer/better TV.

Good Luck,

Samsung 50'' Plasma TV won't turn on anymore

If your tv is within the one year warranty period then call 1-800-Samsung for warranty repair. Look at your tv purchase receipt for the Purchase Date. You have one year from the date of purchase to get warranty repair.

Display problem for magnavox 42" model 42mf230a/37

first make sure its not an input problem or from an external source.Disconnect all inputs and see if lines are present with no inputs to tv.if lines affect menu and or ON SCREEN DISPAY (top) there is a good chance (SSB) board could be bad .I would start with this board first ,lvds cable (second) and last the logic board (comes only with new LCD)

TV won't power on

I am from Australia and this TV is a dud. We purchased it 12 months ago and it has been to repair twice. It is doing the same as the above message. Prior to this the screen would half, horizontally, go black or white with coloured vertical lines. Never buy another of these.

TV won't power up

not to alarm you but several models that had the ambilight feature were subjects of the consumer products safety commission recall for shorting in the ambilight feature this can be checked on the us products safety commission website do a google search on your model number assuming the panel is not one of recalls the tv probably needs the power supply board there are several fuses on it ; one that you will find open the fuse shorted for a good reason there is power fet or sumthin on the power pcb dead shorted put in a new board call phillips consumer support and complain that you dropped way too much money on a flat panel tv when you could have bought a dlp tv if thats too complicated buy a new one
