I have downloaded the new version of yahoo messenger and ever since i have had problems with microsoft words and when i click on to the mail icon on messenger it gives me an error.. What do I need to do to fix this problem.

This are the solutions to your problem:
1. Checked the connectivity of your internet if it is connected properly, checked it from control panel then look for the network connection,you will see a computer icon it should be connected in status and have a color of sky blue(means connected if not right click the icon then enable the connections or repair.
2. If the first solution is OK and does not work,then try to installed/download another version of yahoo messenger but first you need to remove the existing software of the yahoo messenger in your computer before you installed another version of yahoo messenger.To remove the existing software, go the start button then look for control panel and click it,from there look for the add/remove program(double click it then wait for a while and look for the yahoo messenger then select then click remove.
3. Now in downloading a new version of yahoo messenger this is the site: http://messenger.yahoo.com/
4. From there click download now then wait for a moment then click run or you can save it first before you run the software,Then click next.next.then finish.
5. If you already finished installing try now to open your yahoo messenger.

After you download it, follow the installation guide, then sign in using your yahoo mail username and password..
Once you signed in, click the mail icon
It will redirect you to your Yahoo!Mail..

When you a have an account with yahoo mail automatically you are sign to yahoo messenger. So you need a yahoo ID before you can enter yahoo messenger and you have you have yahoo id you will log in with your yahoo id and password. to enter yahoo messenger.
You can click on yahoo messenger icon and enter you id and password and then click sign in.
But if don't have the yahoo messenger icon, just go to yahoo and click on yahoo messenger and enter your id and password to sign in.
This seems to be a bug on a particular version of yahoo messenger. It's either you upgrade or downgrade to a particular version. Just play around by installing another version of Yahoo Messenger. Get older versions from this link. Latest version can be downloaded here. Hope this helps
