Likely your resolution settings are very high, anything scanned at over 100dpi will take considerably longer. if it were a hardware issue then the scanned document would not be readable as the speed of the rollers must be sync'd with the scanning speed for a successful scan

Hi, I scan documents (recto and recto-verso) using the InformatikScan software and the scanner Canon DR-9080C. When I scan for ex. 30 pages, after 10 pages the scanning process slows down in...

The scanner creates a Raster Image and if it is grey or color, the size is big. After a few images are scanned, the 'buffer' inside the scanner is full. It may take more time to process the scanned image by the scanner if it is 24 bit color. The image is sent to the computer Harddisk and if the disk is full or if it had not been defragged for a long time, the sectors may not be contiguous for speedy writing, This will slow up the scanning. Ensure the disk has large space. 'Scan ahead' slows down scanning speed. (Without scan ahead, the next page is fed only after processing, whereas when selected, just after the previous page is scanned, the scanner start the next one)

My canon dr-3080 cii is running at a low speed. it was at its maximum and suddenly slowed down. rebooted cpu and switched scanner on /off and chcked settings with no results. please help

Scanner will continue to scan at the same Speed! The problem is in the computer. Check if you have enough disk space, do a 'defrag' on your harddisk, create extra space by deleting unwanted files. IF your processor is slow and if you are scanning in color or converting to PDF while scanning, it may slow down the output.

Canon scanner speed slow

Various ways....Try these! the slow problem wil get off

How to change the resolution (Windows)
The precision of printouts can be improved by changing scanning resolution.
The higher the scanning resolution is, the more precise the scanned images are represented, however, the file size gets larger.
The scanning resolution can be changed before scanning photos.
Note: When the scanning resolution is doubled, the image data size will be quadrupled.
When the data size is large, the throughput speed may slow down or may occupy too much of the computer's resources (memory).

IT WILL SCAN FAST AFTER 10 PAGES IT WILL RUN SLOW

Your disk must be full or you need to do a 'defrag' on the volume where you are storing the data. Initially it is stored in the buffer and when the disk writing is slow, scanning speed is affected. Clean the disk for faster scanning.

Scanning speed slows down after approx 100 pages. Is it possible to talk to a 1220 expert on phone to describe multipule problems, today?

Scanner 'slows' down depending upon various conditions. For color images and large detailed files, there may be some slowing down. The most common cause is insufficent disk space. Check where you are directing the computer to write the scanned images. Have sufficient space and do a 'defrag' done.
