The signal is 3-2-3....I don't find this code anywhere? Anything that I can do to fix this?

Run firs the diagnostics either from the boot menu on F12 utility partition or using the dell utility disc.
when you power on laptop then you tap on F12 upon seeing dell logo it will bring you to the boot menu. select utility partition or dell diagnostics if you have one. then run the test for system and custom test for the hard drive. if you get error code replace hard drive.

UNMOUNTABLE DISK VOLUME Message on ACER Aspire One.

Unmountable boot volume is most likely an indication of a failing hard drive. Boot to your Windows CD and run CHKDSK /R and see if issue resolves. If it doesn't then you are probably replacing the hard drive.

Gateway Model #GT5056 - Unmountable Boot Volume

one cheap way is to purchase a used hdd from a thrift store or a comp shop. install your software on it and plug your old drive as a secondary. this way u can extract all your files off. then reprogram that drive. this should cost $30 at the most for a 30 gig drive

Blue screen during booting

Yes, unmountable boot volume usually means you need a new hard drive. However, if you have a windows xp cd, you can boot to the recovery console (press R at the first prompt) and try running a chkdsk /f command. Sometimes that will help. Thanks and good luck! Oh and if you could remember to give this solution a rating of fixya. Thanks!
