Question about GPS

Hi I have a problem with my Gps. The problem is that whenever i turn my tomtom gps on itshows a picture of a bridge and doesnt do anything else even if i tap on it its still the same.So could you please tell me what the problem is.

Tom tom comes on but,no gps signal lost for hours.


hi you need to reset the unit at the back near the connection there is a small button that needs to be held down when holding the power button on for a few seconds. once you have done this turn it on and it will work fine

If the green light does not even come on when you plug in the charger you must have an issue with the logic board. Did the GPS get wet or did it drop, was there anything else the preceded the moment it stopped working? There is a company that sells GPS logic boards for TomToms : GPS Repair

My tomtom doesnt turns on. It shows the green led when pressing the power button, but doesnt show anything. It doesnt charge and doesnt show any led while on charge. I tried the reset for 10 sec (and 15...


Remove the micro sd card from your TomTom. Look at the bottom of your unit, where the copper contacts are (where the unit mounts to the windshield mount). You will notice a "cut-out" in the plastic case, just above the contacts. The reset button is there. Use a paper clip and depress this button for 15 seconds. Now press the power button, and it should turn on. Now replace the sd card.

If the battery is dead it will not turn on. Even for a second. Make sure you have it plugged in. If its dead you may want to let it charge a minutes or two. If that doesnt work you will need contact TomTOM.
