TV won't turn on

When you press the power button on the remote to turn on, the green light goes on as if it is powering up and then it shuts off. When you push the power button on the TV nothing happens. It is acting like the timer was accidentally set

My TV switches itself OFF soon after I try to turn it ON.

When the problem started the TV stayed ON only 10 seconds before powering itself OFF. Now it only stays ON about 3 seconds, then switches OFF.

I have unplugged it for a day and looked for a "reset" button, to no avail.

My TV also has had the red-shift (convergence) problem intermittently for several months. I've already seen a solution to that problem.

    Thank you.

When I press the power button I hear a (click) but no picture comes up. I had this issue before however it seemed to fix itself after not using it for awhile. I dont want to spend hundreds to fix this set as I rather spend it on a newer set. I was thinking maybe its a bulb??

I turn ont the tv, nad it has a black screen and then it turns itself back off.

    What do i do?

I have heard of a reset button but does someone have a pic?

I replaced the convergence driver ICs and two 7A pico fuses to fix my TV. The WS-65807 is an old-fashoned CRT rear projection set, and it does not have a reset button. When the set is refusing to remain ON, it is because the fuses were blown and the power supply is designed to shut itself OFF. A malfunction in the one or both convergence ICs blew the fuses.

Oh my god, that was the hardest thing I've ever had to read, bob.

There is a system reset button the front of the TV that you press with a paper clip or something similar. You can try that. Mine is doing the same thing but prior to this behavior it was turning itself off and giving me a red Lamp indicator, meaning the lamp has gone bad. I'm now waiting for one.

Is this a rear projection lcd, if so check for the most commond problem the bulb. Most bulb or rated for 2000hr's. If seen bulb burt every 6 mounts, it was cause because of other problem, I'm so disapointed that this bulb or so expensive, I just don't get it, this compagny's should have tested this set's and lowed the prices for commond bulb.
As you should know new technogy has his down fall, I have notice the quality go down very fast, I guess they don't tess them before making.
I would also sudjust to keep the set for at least two more years until the new cable technoly for pure digital signal is in and get a dlp, don't by anything made in china, personaly I don't recomand. Keep brand withing mexico, they have less problem, I feel mitsubitchi, or in my experience the best in motors, electronic, vacuum, etc...

Regards

When we push the power button on the remote or on the tv the green light comes on for one second and then shuts off ... tv won't turn on

you have a short circuit in the power supply.
1) test the power cord very well
2) test the main swithc for short or open
3)test the power supply, look for a short in transformer+coil+filter+diode+rectifier. and replace
4)test the HVRECT+fLYBACK+ horizontal output for +125Vdc +vertical output for +80Vdc ALL this go to the CRT
color +12vdc+other circuit +12vdc. The first thing do you will have is RASTER, see the block. d
God bless you

Toshiba 32AV502R won't turn on even though green light goes on

Try changing the input device to something you are sure works. Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours. If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.

My Mitsubishi Medallion tv stays on for about 10 minutes and then shuts down and won't turn back on until a period of time has passed. It is a rear projection tv about 9 years old. Can anyone help ex

When it shuts off and the green power light goes off, press both the menu and input buttons on the front of the set (not the remote) and hold both for about five seconds and release.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks and then 3 blinks and repeat it several times.

What is the error code?

How do i program my remote

Hello;

Without knowing the codes for the specific brand names and models of your devices, this is how you program the Zenith MBR3447 for your TV, VCR, DVD Player, CD Player or Audio Receiver:

TV

1. Push the "Power" button on the TV to turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "TV" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the TV's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the TV fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the TV does shut off. Each time the "Power" button is pressed the Zenith MBR3447 tries using a different TV device code from its code library to turn the TV off. Therefore, when the TV finally does shut off it's an indication that the remote is temporarily programmed with the correct device code to control the brand of TV you're using.
6. Press "Enter" to save the current code.

VCR

1. Push the "Power" button on the VCR to turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "VCR" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the VCR's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the VCR fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the VCR does shut off. Then press "Enter."

DVD Player, CD Player or Audio Receiver

1. Push the "Power" button on the device your programming the remote to control to manually turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "AUX" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the device's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the device fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the device does shut off. Then press "Enter."

5b. Press 1 again (it will flash twice again), then you press the power on button at the very top right.

6.Point remote at TV and press CHANNEL UP button. Tap the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly until the TV powers off.

7.When the TV powers off, press and release the SELECT button.

*Note: If the green light flashes three times before TV responds, then all codes have been cycled through. Our remote controls are guaranteed to program to your DIRECTV receiver, however your TV may not be compatible with our remote control.
