Question about Singer 7442 Mechanical Sewing Machine
When turning on singer model 7442 there is a buzzing sound and all lights are flashing. With the side plate off you can see the needle position flicker but nothing happens. I can't get the lights to stop flashing and the machine to work. What do I do?
First make sure you are using a needle that is recommended by your model. Secondly make sure the needle is inserted correctly. The flat side of the needle needs to be against the flat bar that makes the needle go up and down. After this, unplug the power supply and let it set for a couple of minutes. This gives the computer time to re-set itself.
Hope these suggestions work!
