Question about Dell Inspiron 5100 Notebook
I am trying to install a new hard drive into my Dell laptop, (Inspiron 5100 Model PP07L). The connector pins in the laptop are "female" and hard drive are "male" but the hard drive pins can not be inserted into the recessed "female" connector. Is there and extension adapter that I can get to fix this problem or is the hard drive the incorrect type. I have purchased 3 different drives for this laptop and have had the same problem each time. Please advise me of a way to install this drive correctly. Anyway help you have to give would be a blessing. Thanks in advance. MottleyCrude@aim.com
