Open the set up and check to see if if the 24 volt supply is going out all voltages are labeled on the power board and the 24 volt suply will be on the plud that goes to the inverter board keep in mind the baard you just replace was not a new one they are pull outs from junk or damages units

Why does my insignia 55 inch tv come on then after bout 5 or 10 mins goes blank but is still on and has sound model #ns-55e480a13a

It sounds to me like the power supply for the back light needs to have new capacitors installed. TV's are now manufactured to fail shortly after the warranty runs out! See if you have a friend that can do the repair for you.

My Insignia 50" LED loses video after about 10mins., still have audio. After pwr. cycling video goes away every 2 mins or so. audio always on

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board

It turns on, runs for approx 20 mins then shuts off. when you turn it back on it shuts off in approx 12 min and so on and so on. is this a bad power supply?

possibly, it sounds like there is a capacitor in the power supply not holding charge anymore. Or it is loosing hold of the charge once it gets warm.

Insignia 27 inch lcd tv gets no video or audio

the most common item that fails with all LCDs is the power invertor or power supply, and that sounds like what your set is needing is the capacitors have possibly failed on the Invertor
