Question about Washing Machines
My GE Harmony makes a very load noise like it is hitting something during the high speed part of the spin cycle. I have taken the back cover off and cant' see it hitting anything. The tub is suspended so it is easy to see around it. Could this be a bearing somewhere.
This is a very complicated machine utilizing no transmission, rotor/stator type drive motor, and a locking/unlocking clutch mechanism design to either engage or disengage the wash basket. These machines are tricky even for professionals to properly diagnose.

My GE wpgt9350copl just exploded. Basket broke during high speed spin, blew the top off (and I'm not talking about the open/close cover. The whole top) and the machine spun 1/4 turn and busted a hole in the wall. What a mess. Bought a couple of years ago when they first came out from Home Depot. I'm screwed! I know it'll cost a few hundred dollars. Right now thinking of spending more and buy a new one.To go w/dryer
