There's a program that can reprogram or clone an existing SIM card especially if the SIM card is not working anymore. This can be seen in various forums online. If you're just concerned about transferring all your contact/address book information, you can simply delete all the record of your SIM card and then transfer the new records from your phone to your SIM. One last thing to not is that if your SIM cannot be detected on all phones, then the SIM maybe broken anymore and any data inside it cannot be retrieved anymore since it's a chip issue which cannot be fixed.
you have 2 options. you can load them directly in your "address book" by going into your address book, menu button (bb icon left of trackball), select "New Address" and enter the info. Option 2 , would be going into your address book, select "SIM phone book" and enter the info there. Keep in mind, when you use the SIM phone book option, you can only enter their name and phone number, and after you are done, you have to import your SIM contacts to your address book. Any contacts saved using the SIM option, will stay on your SIM card. Any contacts using the Address Book option, will only remain on the phone, and not on your sim card. ho[pe this helps!
Hi, You can import phone data from a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card to the address book application on your BlackBerry smartphone.
Contacts in the address book can be saved to the SIM card individually. You cannot import data from the address book to the SIM card. To import a single contact, complete the following steps: 1)On the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, open the Address Book. 2) Display the menu and select SIM Phone Book. The SIM phone book is loaded. 3) Select the contact you want to import, then select Add to Address Book. 4) In the New Address screen, add any additional information. Import all contacts, complete the following steps: 1) On the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, open the Address Book. 2) Display the menu and select SIM Phone Book. The SIM phone book is loaded. 3) Display the menu and select Copy All To Address Book. 4) Go back to the Address Book and make sure all the entries are displayed. After adding information to ddress book you can able to veiw contact list, I hope this information will be helpfull.
From the main menu, Choose contacts Select options and Press Advanced Choose "Copy to SIM". Select one of the options that pop up. All the existing SIM card data is replaced when copying the contacts from the Phone to the SIM card.
Pictures and text message can't be saved to sim-card. You need to transfer these with memory card or to computer and from computer to other phone.
The problem is most likely because on your previous phone the names and
numbers were stored on the phone memory and the sim card memory. Before
removing your sim card from the old phone, you first need to copy all
names and numbers from the phone memory to the sim memory and then when
you transfer the sim card to the new phone you should have all the
names and numbers as before. Just beware of a few potential problems.
First, sim memory only generally allows entries of 14 characters and
secondly there is often a limit to the overall capacity of
names/numbers to 250 or maybe 300. So if you have a huge directory, you
will in effect need to copy the data in blocks of say 250 entries from
one phone memory to the other using the sim card as a portable memory
device or else try a phone shop like Carphone Warehouse who might just
do the whole job for you.
