Re: ice maker will not make ice

Well, I managed to get mine fixed. The problem was a small bit of broken plastic that runs on the cam to check whether or not the ice bucket is full. I "super glued" it back together with a "Krazy Glue" formula that says it's good for
plastic. Seems to be working now.

The hardest part was removing a small cover that hides a screw for the removing the cover of the ice maker case.

Hi. I have an E8 error code flashing on the freezer side of my leisure fridge freezer model APL13963B. Any ideas please

This error code is caused by a defective Ice Maker sensor. It is a common failure in this make and model. It is located behind the ice maker assembly which must be removed to replace the faulty part. As to whether this will fix all the problems I can only guess and say not sure. Cost to replace the part would be at least $150.00 USD

Red light flashing i push tab on the left hand side light stop flashing ice in the maker but dont fall

If the ice has not been used for some time it becomes frozen solid, defrost it and all should be ok.

My samsung ice maker is making ice, but not dropping it, what can we do?
This is your Touch pad. On it using only two fingers (nothing else touching the fridge) Press and hold energy saver, and the lighting button at the same time for 5 seconds. All of the LEDS should flash on the display, this is error code mode. Hold it down until either all of the LEDs go blank, or unless one of the little temperature lines start flashing. If they do flash you probably need a new ice maker. If they don't, honestly, it still sounds like the control is still working because it's supplying the ice maker with power. If the display goes blank for 30 seconds, the fridge will reset causing it to start operating normally again, but it always feels good to see if the unit will actually throw the error code for you. DA97-08059A is the part number available here..

Before ordering this part, also verify the freezer is cold enough (-8 all the way to 10 degrees F will be cold enough for the fridge to induce a cycle of the ice maker, any warmer temps this will not work. If the ice maker doesn't solve the problem, Then we point the finger at the main board, but have never replaced the board on this model to solve this issue. These ice makers fail enough to keep a truck stock one at work.

Sub-Zero service manual

Here is a link to the error codes. If there is a fault condition these should be flashing on the display:

One this to try is a hard reset: unplug and wait for a few minutes and re-plug back in. Sometime this resets the service condition and will then display the error codes.

Ice is displayed when the ice maker is turned on. Press the ice on/off and it should turn off.

Fisher and Paykel model RF610 approx 4 months old door warning goes off as soon as fridge or freezer doors are opened. error code F24 showing in display screen also spanner symbol icon thingy flashing.

The F24 error show that the sensor in the ice maker is out of normal ranges. The usual fix is to replace the sensor in the ice maker.  Also worth checking it to see is the water to the ice maker has frozen up in the value (switch the fridge off for a day). If the error still exists after that you will need to replace the ice maker sensor. You have a 2 year warranty on these parts so the fix should be free.

Ice maker quit working

good sign its flashing , woth door open depress the left side flap oppiste the blinkin light. does the light then go solid red??? i fso its an indication that the electricl eye is operating ok .
theres a screw 1/4 in. along the right side underneath the icemaker itself, youll need to removeit and the cover its holding down. you can then slide the ice maker assy foward and out of machine,There will be another litle tab along loeft side uder ice maker youll need to depress to ppulll unit out. pry off the white cover from front of the ice maker assy itself and have a look at the main gear 2 in. round, is it broken off, or on its way top breaking( sometimes the tabs that hold it on to the ice maker module itself break preventing operation, if this is the case youll need to repalce the ice maker assy.
