I got an open box laptop Dell Inspiron and the webcamera was initially working right after I got it. But now whenever I go to click on the webcamera folder, it only will open the webcamera console and not the window or the webcamera itself. Solution? :)

Dell Inspiron 1525: Unable to Connect Wireless Network

setting up the right option for wireless network connection at Dell 1525. Here's the following:

1. Go to Control panel
2. Select Windows Security Center
3. Select Windows Firewall
4. Click on Change settings
5. Here you might see User Account Control will ask for your permission to continue, simply grant it.
6. Click on the Exception tab at the middle
7. Scroll down to Wireless Portable Devices and check the box next
8. Click Apply, then hit OK
9. After close the program now you can try to connect again and watch the result.
   

With assumption you're already make the wireless enable in BIOS setting. In the device manager you should see what the type of wireless wlan card you used and make sure it's already turned on via your switch on your laptop. If it was, then you need to find out the right wireless device driver for Dell Inspiron 1525. Here's the following:

1. Visit Dell Support site and open the Network tab in the table.
2. Find your wireless device and download the driver for it.
3. Aim to a folder on your computer or any external drive if you have it.

At the Inspiron 1525 laptop

1. go to start
2. Right click at My Computer
3. Click Properties
4. Click Device Manager and Network Adapter .Here you should see a WLAN Mini-Card or might you only see "Unknown Device".
5. Right Click on it and go to properties to select the Update Driver. Now you should browse the folder to select the driver you're already download at the first step.

NOTE:

Just follow the instruction appears completely. After installation the wireless wlan driver at Dell Inspiron 1525 finish, then reboot the machine and know your wireless connection should be works properly.

open the audio properties box by right clicking on your volume control and selecting the properties choice
where it lists all the devices, turn the volume level for the microphone all the way down. if that still does not cure the problem, then mute just the microphone by itself, that way the rest of your audio still works.

Is this a recent problem?? if it was working ok and then stopped then i would go to device manager find the webcam uninstall it restart laptop and hopefully windows will reload the driver and it will be ok

Reinstall the driver for it. You should be able to get it from dell. If it still doesn't work there may be a hardware problem.

right click on open area on the desk top. Go to properties - screen saver - power monitor - go to the hibernate tab - uncheck enable hibernation - click apply then ok.

This is happening because the Dell webcam central is accessing the webcam at the same time as yahoo messenger. Click on start and click on Run(XP), Type MSCONFIG in start search (Vista) and you'll get the system configuration utility. Open it and go to the startup tab. Uncheck anything related to Dell webcam. Click on Apply and OK and restart the computer. If yahoo messenger shows a black screen uninstall Yahoo messenger and reinstall with the more recent version.

If the system has the original Dell image, then just after the Dell Bios splash screen should be a black screen with w blue bar at the top with www.dell.com at the top.

At that screen press CTRL + F11 to initiate the PC Restore program.

Run MSCONFIG and uncheck all the boxes pertaining to Dell Inspiration and keyboard shortcuts.
