When you say it does not flush; do you mean it flushes...the water just won't go down (won't empty the contents of the toilet bowl)?

Be more specific.

Is there any magic potion to unclog a toilet besides plunger and snake?

From what I have read on this website from people who seem to know, it could be a number of things:
1. A clogged stack or vent.
2. An old flapper valve.
3. An old fill valve.
4. Not enough water going from the tank to the bowl.
5. The float chamber itself is clogged.
6. Old piping (plumbing).
7. The house and therefore the plumbing is settling.
8. After watching You Tube on how to do it, try a hand snake, and if that doesn't work, try renting an ELECTRIC snake, not a hand snake and "snakeout" the "cleanout place," You may have to take the toilet off - sounds like a job for a plumber.
9. The trap is clogged way down deep.
9. The tank is not a match for the toilet and will not connect or seal well.
10.Toilet is old and worn out.
11. There are hard water mineral deposits in the ports of the bowl.
12. Pour a large bucket of water all at once in the toilet and IF it flushes, it is not the system, it is the toilet.

You might want to try the following first before you either rent an electric snake or call a plumber who has an electric snake. You have probably already tried the following but here they are because sometimes they work, depending on how far down the clog is:
1. Try 1/4 C of Epsom Salts and let sit for 15 minutes and then flush.
2. Pour 1 C Baking Soda in toilet and wait 5 minutes and then add 2 C white vinegar slowly to toilet, and wait 15 minutes and then flush.
3. Heat 1 gallon of hot water and while the water is heating, add 1 C liquid dish soap first (or you can use shampoo. or liquid washing machine soap like Tide in a pinch) to the toilet and then after the water comes to a boil turn off the heat and wait until it stops boiling, and then pour the hot water slowly down the toilet (you have to pour it SLOWLY as you don't want it to flush - yet) and then, wait 15 minutes and then flush.
4. Pour in 3-4 C bleach in the toilet and wait 5 minutes and then add 1 C of POWERED detergent and then wait 15 minutes and then flush.

My neorest 500 smells we have had it for 4 years. I am wondering what can be done. we love the toilet.

Smells usually come from the tank and not the bowl.
Buy tank deodorizer from local store located near toilet brushes.
http://secure.willert.com/images/bf_wire.jpg
Deodorizer hangs inside tank. make sure it reaches the water.

You can also drain and clean the tank using CLR calcium lime and rust remover.
The CLR and gunk are fine for flushing away as long as the gunk doesn't clog the flush holes that let water flow into bowl.

Sewer line can also cause of odor.
If the toilet bowl is not full of water, or if nearby drain is not filled with water, or if toilet is not sealed tight against floor, or if toilet appears to have dampness visible around base, or if a vent pipe terminates behind a wall instead of on the roof: these things can cause sewer air to enter room.

After automatic flush, water continuously runs into bowl. The water is coming from the upper bowl above the wand area.

i would think the syphon is not closing after the flush, so as the cistern fills it just runs straight into the pan. you'll need to replace the syphon...

My mothers toilet will not flush, its like theres no suction, when flushed the water in the bowl goes down very slowly but not all the way down to the hole and when it does its very slow weak suction. I...

Try getting a bucket full of water and dumping it pretty rapidly into the toilet bowl. This is essentially what happens when the toilet is flushed normally, but it removes the variable of how the water is being delivered from the tank to the bowl. It should swirl and go charging down the drain, quickly leaving the bowl with very little water. If it does not act that way, then problem is definitely that the drain is obstructed. When you snaked it, you probably used a fairly short snake (about 10 feet?). Try a plunger - use a good one not the kind designed for sinks. Flush multiple times and get vigorous with it. If that doesn't clear it you will have to remove the toilet and use a much larger and longer snake (50 ft or more). good luck, Al K

My husband dropped Q Tips (around 20) in the toilet and instead of taking them out, flushed them! Now when you flush, the water fills instead of draining then initially has the correct amount of water in...

If the snake won't reach, it is not the toilet, but rather in the wasteline. if the qtips were the sort with paper stems and not plastic, you can use a bacterial enzyme drain opener to clear the clog over a few days. qtips should not have clogged the line. You likely have some buildup on the inside of your wastelines that will be cleaned out by the bacterial treatment. The chemical solutions are not as thorough as the bacterial and they are quite hard on sewer and septic systems.

I flush my toilet and it wont flush most of the time and it will just have water swirl around the bowl. The water never reaches the top of the bowl. What seems to be the problem?

it sounds like you have a small clog. try plunging the toilet, but if that doesn't work try liquid plumber or a snake

Water won't go down the bowl..Seems to flush fine except water wont go down...Nothing is obstructing it..it is not clogged

If water won't go down, you have an obstruction. It might be up inside the trap of the toilet. Use a closet auger to try to remove it. If the toilet trap is clear, you either have a clogged stack or vent.

Increasing water in bowl

You really can't because of the design. Any water above the level now will drain off. Sorry
