I tried to launch EASY CD CREATOR 10 (ROXIO). It did not launch. I reinstalled Easy CD Creator. Part of process is that system has to restart. When I accepted the command to restart, the computer failed to boot stating "NTLDR is missing".

Tried to start with XP Discs, but failed.

    Done nothing else.

    Hope you can help,

    Gideon.

Dell inspirion 6000 is showing "loading PBR2.....done. NTLDR IS MISSING.HOW TO FIX

Use the Restoration Disk. When asked choose Repair.
(Non-Destructive Installation)

You are missing basic Windows files. Boot loader files.
Also you may have to prepare to replace the harddrive. May have bad Sectors on it.
Means I would copy off all personal information, after getting that laptop going again, or you may lose it.

NTLDR is missing is displayed when i turn on the computer

The "NTLDR is missing", error displays very shortly after the computer is first started; after the Power On Self Test (POST) is complete. Windows XP might only initially load when the NTLDR error message appears. Causes of this error message include corrupt and misconfigured files, hard drive and operating system upgrade issues, corrupt hard drive sectors, an outdated BIOS, and damaged or loose IDE cables.

When system switched on it shows message on baleck screen " NTLDR file is missing press ctr+alt+del to restart"

Severe corruption - NTLDR is the program that launches the boot process. The only way to fix that is to reinstall.

NTLDR is missing in my computer

Missing NTLDR can be caused by any one of these problems :-

Computer is booting from a non-bootable source.
Computer hard disk drive is not properly setup in BIOS.
Corrupt NTLDR and/or NTDETECT.COM file.
Misconfiguration with the boot.ini file.
Attempting to upgrade from a Windows 95, 98, or ME computer that is using FAT32.
New hard disk drive being added.
Corrupt boot sector / master boot record.
Seriously corrupted version of Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
Loose or Faulty IDE/EIDE hard disk drive cable.
Failing to enable USB keyboard support in the BIOS

With Windows XP follow these instructions
  1. Insert the Windows XP bootable CD into the computer.
  2. When prompted to press any key to boot from the CD, press any key.
  3. Once in the Windows XP setup menu press the "R" key to repair Windows.
  4. Log into your Windows installation by pressing the "1" key and pressing enter.
  5. You will then be prompted for your administrator password, enter that password.
  6. Copy the below two files to the root directory of the primary hard disk. In the below example we are copying these files from the CD-ROM drive letter, which in this case is "e." This letter may be different on your computer.

    copy e:\i386\ntldr c:\
    copy e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\
Once both of these files have been successfully copied, remove the CD from the computer and reboot.

If this doesn't work, then the last resort is to install Windows again, plus the computers device drivers and your programs.
