The audio cuts out for several seconds while most channel.

The audio cuts out for several seconds while watching most channels. The TV was purchased in Dec 08. I contacted Toshiba and they indicated a firmware upgrade was required. They sent over a local technican and the sound did not cut out while he was at my house. Any ideas.

Call Toshiba they should send you the software upgrade directly so you can install it yourself. The service technician should hsve done that for you. If I would have been there after I called Toshiba's techline I would have downloaded and installed the upgrade while I was there.

Cannot get audio on one channel

Which make/model TV do you have? Are you watching an OTA signal or cable signal?

On my Viewsonic N1930W, I had a period where certain OTA VHF channels had no audio. The UHF channels were fine. The steps I used to reset the TV: unplug for a while. After reconnecting the power, go to the Tools (Options) menu and then reset the TV to the defaults. Then I did a new channel scan for OTA channels. On my TV, the menu is called Options but the icon is a wrench and a hammer in an X. Thus I call it Tools. The Restore Default option is at the bottom of the list in that menu. The reset command triggers several "Are you sure prompts?" Pressing the Enter key on the remote after highlighting Yes is required. After the reset, I can go to the Channel menu and select Auto Scan after making sure that it is set for Air as the source.

If you post a comment with the details of your TV, I may be able to give the steps to reset your TV.

I hope this helps.

I am trying to hook my tv up....what settings do I need to watch direct tv???

If you have a Sanyo TV with out audio/video connections, you will be using an RF connection cord between your TV and the satellite receiver. You will operate your TV on channel 3 or 4, match this with the channel 3 or 4 on the receiver box.If your TV has audio/video input connections, you will need to purchase rca connectors. They will have a red connection for right audio, white connection for left audio, and yellow is your video connection. The color codes will be on the input connections on the TV and the satellite receiver as well. You will than program the TV to input one or two, of the TV to receive the signal from the receiver. Use the satellite remote to control channels on the receiver box. When you are through watching TV, be sure to shut off your TV as well. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

I have dynex flat screen hdtv, need to hook up jvc dual dvd-vcr recorder to it need direction pls have no knowledge of hooking up this diagram would also be great

  • find the video input 1 in the back of the tv (this video connector yellow + audio red **audio right channel and white left channel) is known as female RCA conector)
  • get a set of rca wires **known as male RCA*** (yellow red and white)
  • find the RCA female conectors Yellow red and white in the DVD call it video (and audio) output
Connect sets accordingly the TV video input yellow conector with video output yellow with the set of wires RCA yellow. Do the same with audio.

  1. second part of this talking is to find and cable splitter (usually three output and one input
  2. find TWO coax cables (this cable is usually a black wire with a connector each side this fits perfectly in the antena input of the tv)
Now connect your cable into the splitter (input) and your two cables in each output, then send one of them into the TV antena conector and another to the DVD coax input.

To watch your TV only select any regualr channel as you do it.
And to record and actually see Your DVD/tape and what you record also. You have to select in your remote control the video 1

ones you get custome to this configuration you can record a channel and at the ssame time watch any second channel selected in the tv.

I hope was clear.
