I have a mtd pro snowblower with a 9.5 Tecumshe motor that runs for about 2 mintues and dies but start right back up again. Oil, fuel, and spark plugs been changed. Any help would be great.
It sounds to me like either the oil pressure switch is being plugged after startup and causint the engine to quit then the plug settles until you start it again and it plugs again easiest way to test is to take the swith and remove the wire to it and see if the engine starts and keeps running, if so then replace the old pressure switch. If this does not solve the problem then the only other thing I can think of is the needle valve is partially pluged, at startup the fuel bowl is full and the engine startsbut after starting the fuel bowl runs low on fuel as it is not filling fast enough and the engine stalls. By the time you try starting it again the fuel bowl is filled again and the whole thing starts all over. Hope This Helps Don
