No spark. My HSU75NG MR. Heater (Big Maxx) will not start on its own. It purges fine ,calls for heat fine, gas flows fine; BUT there is no spark from the Electrode Igniter. Which I have replaced. The

The capacitor in that unit is for starting the motor that drives the blower fan. It has no impact on the ignition of the gas burner. On the control board, there is a light that should be flashing, can you tell us how many times it is flashing?

Naturally, my first question: Is it getting fuel?

If not always start troubleshooting by checking the air pump pressure. The pump pressure is directly related to fuel delivery.

Burners come on for very short time, about 4 seconds

Natural gas furnace??? If so, your flame sensor switch might be bad. Once your burners ignite, they close a limit switch that lets the control module know that the gas ignited- so you don't blow gas into your house uninterrupted. Let me know if you are talking about something else.

Help troubleshooting an FMI GL-850E Gas Fireplace

It sounds like the Ignition Control Module went out, as I've heard the vibrating noise you speak of just before the module "dies." You most likely have the gray Robertshaw control module box located under the fireplace connecting the power to the gas valve. You will need to have a Certified Gas Fireplace Specialist look into this issue and replace, if necessary.

Laars lite 2 Spark egnighter will not spark

turn power off first. I would disconnect igniter wire which will be a thick orange wire that comes off of ignition module if it is spark. once you have that the end will look like a spark plug wire take shield away from metal then hold orange wire in hand close but not touching metal turn power on and it will take a couple of minutes before it should start sparking. If you don't see a spark then it is most likely the ignition module. There should be a red light on ignition module that will blink to tell you what the failure is if is is a newer on. When you turn power on to laars light 2 the inducer motor should come on then a pressure switch should send 24volt to gas valve for pilot to lite. Can you smell gas at all when laars should be igniting. If you have any questions fell free to email me back
