If I get emails I want to keep in my inbox or folder it disappears if I delete it from trash, all mail, or sent mail if I have sent it on. How do I stop this.

I will assume that you keep your messages locally. If this is happening I will use another computer to access my email. Usually you can always receive emails from the internet page that holds your account. Verizon, Comcast etc(or you can use your phone). If you can see your emails then the problem is in your computer. Provide with more information like what email program do you use, what operating system, etc. You can if you wish contact me at

My 'Sent Mail' is always empty. Cannot check who I sent emails to. Why?

The most probable cause would be something in your settings for your web-mail, if that is what you're using, or in the configuration of your email client (e.g. Outlook). Another possibility is security software on your computer automatically clearing your sent folder or the equivalent security setting in web-mail doing the same.

If it's web-mail which you're using then the solution should be fairly simple, at least in terms of where you'll have to hunt and peck for the change in your web-mail configuration. You'll want to start with the help or support section of whatever web-mail service you're using, and probably you'll want to start with the FAQs first and run a search through them.

If you're using an email client on your computer, you'll first want to determine which protocol you're using: IMAP or POP3. IMAP leaves the email you receive on the server, whereas POP3 moves the emails you receive from the server to your computer.

IMAP shouldn't cause you any quirky problems with your sent mail folder, aside from the independent security software I mentioned earlier or explicit settings in your email client.

With the other protocol, POP3, your client is downloading all of your emails and not leaving copies on the server. It is possible that your sent folder is empty, in this scenario, if your email client is looking at the server's sent folder and not your client's sent folder. Hopefully something of this helps you solve your problem.

I have a AVAYA 6408 phone and it is going strait to voice mail when someone calls and I cannot get that off

You activated that feature yourself by hitting *3 you may want to use this when you go on vation so it goes directly to VM. #3 will deactivate this feature.

When I am sending an email there is always a block requesting me to enter a code before the mail is sent. They demand that it is to protect you. Why should yahoo refuse to send a mail unless that code is...

From Yahoo:

By entering the code you see in the box, you help us prevent automated programs from using Yahoo! services. This ensures better performance of Yahoo! services for you. source

Basically the reason for the code is to ensure it is a human sending the message, and not a virus/other type of malicious program that could use compromised email accounts to send massive amounts of spam.

You cannot receive files on your memory card directly.

You are to receive it on your phones memory, then you move it to you memory card.

You ensure your phones memory is totally empty so you can receive your incoming files.

Go to messages,
select the message settings,
select the message sending option,
Select save and send.

once this is done, you will be able to view your sent mails in your outbox.

Take care

None of my sent messages will show up. My sent box is always empty when i click on it.

You havn't specified if you are using Outlook, Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail or you are using a Online Website to check the mail.

I am giving you the following steps do that hope that works...

For Windows Mail, Outlook, try these Steps:

1. Click on Tools (Press Alt and T together, if does not appears) on the the task bar on the top.

2. Click on Options. You will see a new window on screen.

3. In the Preferences tab you will see "E-mail Options", click on that. A new Window will open.

5. For Windows Mail you will find this option in Send Tab.

4. Check "Save copies of messages in Sent Items Folder". Then Click on Ok.
Again on Apply and Ok and that will be fixed.

If you are using a Online Mail Service then you will have a Option "Save a Copy" or something alike, make sure that is checked.

Usually when you get an authentication error message it is because the SMTP server or your outgoing e-mail server is looking for a user name and password. If one isn't supplied, it will continue to bouce back.

The best thing to do is to contact your e-mail provider and find out if something is going wrong on their end and ask them if you do need SMTP authentication. If you do what is the user name and password.

Good luck on that.
