I have it all connected but it still wont work and there is power going through the ground wire on my amp for my car

Good question BUT, not much information to go on. "Won't Work" is a bit generic so how about asking if the head unit's display works? Do you have an additional amp connected? Does the amp power up? Does the head unit accept and play CDs? Does the radio tune?

Please "fill in the answers" and we'll go from there.
Thanks for your question

Hooking up the amp i had the ground wire connected and was going to hook up the power wire and it hit the case of the amp know the amp turns on but there is no sound from the speakers other amps work on...

sadly, your amps' output MOSFETS are more than likely toast.

your amp was grounded, and you touched the amp chassis with the power line.
electricity will follow any path available to find ground. in your case, the output mosfets became your main ground-path since they are directly connected to the amps chassis (heat sink) and internally you had grounded the amp so power would flow full force through the output transistors in the serach for a ground.

open up your amp and smell the row of MOSFET transistors. you'll probably even be able to see some burnt transistor legs.

repair or replace.

The woofer wont turn off

The only wires that should be going to the subs are the Speaker wire, The power, goes to the amp, Blue the remote wire should only go to the remote spot on the amp wich is usually labeled rem. and the ground all goes to the amp.

Audiofonics adf-241 no power all wires connected fuses ok.

Hello pimprascalz,

Many amps will go into protect mode if one of the speaker wires is shorted or grounded, or if the voice coil(s) are defective. Try disconnecting the speaker wires one at a time and see if the amp still goes into protect upon power up. Likewise, some amps will go into protect if one of the inputs is grounding out. Again, to troubleshoot, disconnect them one at a time and try the amp. Next, make sure that the amp itself is not grounding. Most amps need to be mounted to a nonconductive surface. If the case contacts the frame of the vehicle, it can cause a problem. If the problem is not in the speaker wires or the input cables, the amp case is not contacting the vehicle frame, and you have checked your power, ground and turn-on leads, then the amp itself is probably faulty.

Hope this helps.

Amp not turning on

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.

If neither is too low, the power supply in the amp is probably blown.

No power to my legacy 600 watt car amp

Hmm...ive had this problem before and its always been either the remote wire, the rca cables or the ground. i would try hooking up the remote wire strait to the battery, if that doesnt work try to find a better place for the ground. maybe where your trunk latches. if that still doesnt work then i would try new rca cables.

Amp wont turn on

It's possible the ground is not a good connection. Sometimes it may look good but dirt or corrosion builds up resistance creating a voltage drop where the wire is grounded to the frame.

AMP turns ON then turns off

The power antenna wire only supplies 12vdc when the radio is on. When CD or other sources are selected, the power antenna wire goes to 0vdc. The remote turn-on wire provides 12vdc whenever the head-unit is on. If your amps are powered on only when the radio is turned on, I would bet that you have the power antenna wire connected and not the remote turnon wire.
