Can anyone help me, with a code for my 05 ford transit radio? The serial number is; M077957

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

Welcome to FixYa.

The problem with these security codes is that each radio carries a code that is unique and individual to the serial of radio itself. There is no master code for these radios. The good news is they can be decoded online once you have the serial number.

You will need to remove the radio from the dash to find the serial number on a label at the very back of the radio.

Ford will charge £25 for supplying you with this code and this is why I always recommend this site which does them for only £5.99

The radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2will display your Serial Number
Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER foundon a label on the casing

It usually begins with M++++++ or V++++++

Hi Dan, we have similar problems with Transit vans. We call our local Ford agent who has the codes on computer, they can also help with how to key in the code ( they are a bit odd!)
