    I also have the MMP8567, and sure, you can go through the MusicIP Mixer software and open the playlist containing the existing track files (open under "All Files", not "Playlists (*.m3u), or it won't find the files), and delete them, but this is a very time consuming process as one is not allowed to select multiple track either by dragging or holding down ctrl or shift...very annoying: 250 tracks!? ONE AT A TIME!!? Seems likely to be a proprietary "catch", if you will.

I realize this post is very old, so I'm commenting for posterity's sake. I don't have this particular model, but I had the same problem with my MMP8568. I couldn't delete pre-loaded tracks from WMP or manually from My Computer. The only thing that worked for me was reformatting my device and deleting everything off of it and starting over.

Basically, I went to My Computer and right-clicked on the icon corresponding to my MP3 player. I selected Format from the options and it deleted everything, from my own songs that I loaded to the pre-loaded content. Then, I resynched my music.

I tried EVERYTHING, and this was the only method that worked for me. :/

Delete them in Windows Media Player while you are connected to the device.

You probably didn't load all the drivers for it from the start up disc, see if you can repair by reloading the disc or delete all and start over

Coby mp3 player

This is from Memorex FAQs (not sure if relevant to Coby but relevant to this forum) How do I remove songs from my digital audio player? All you need to do in order to remove a song form your player is make sure that your player and computer are in the 'on' position. You will need the USB cables connected as well. Open a window's browser or double click on "My Computer" and find the MP3 player's drive. Locate the song you wish to remove right click on the song and choose the delete option.

Deleting downloaded songs

The users guide is on the CD that came with it, otherwise you can download it from here;

As for deleting the pre-loaded songs, you can manually delete them from the device while its connected to the PC. Go to My Computer>Device Name (e250)>Music Folder then just right click and delete on the items you do not want.

Best of Luck.
