I am having an issue with a Panafax uf-8000 printer. It grinds when starting up and says there is misfed paper. Don't see any.

you need to but a thing called a scan/email key before it will work

clean the rubber feed roller/rollers that actually feed the paper from the paper tray.. clean soft lint free cloth dampened with water

There should be 2 switch actuators sticking up underneath of the toner cartridge, maybe one got knocked off?

One of the switches under the toner cart is knocked off.

You have a broken FUSER GEAR, very expensive to get repaired because the entire machine must be torn down to the frame.

If you get it repaired, you might just as well get an entire new fuser. Estimate $500-$600.

The Network /Email Scanner Card is an option. You can, however, use the Panafax as a Network Printer.

The printer driver is on the Document Management CD.

you need a IFAX/email key "small little electronic board" installed on the main board it does not come as default so you need to talk to your dealer about this option

for manual setting.. when replacing the drum unit.. press function 7 thend scroll down select maintenance then scroll donw select drum unit then press 2 to clear the usage.then press 1 for yes.

try to check the drum unit you install.see if the drum not installed properly. turn off and on the unit
