After I purchase a DVD Movie from iTunes I try to burn the movie onto a dvd and the download onto dvd seems to complete but it will not plat when I put into my Samsung V5650. Any suggestins?

yes you must read the instruc manual for to see which format your DVD read only. download your instr.manual www. or www.

In that way you must download the format o.k or use in internet converter for your properly format DVD.

God bless you

I am not able to play DVDs from Europe in Canada. Is there any way to adjust settings??

Short answer - no.
All Canadian/US made units are Region 1 only. You need to bring a unit from another country that can run with NTSC to play these discs here.

Is there anyway to decode movies so I can transfer movies (boughten) to dvd? I have over 400 movies and would like to put them on dvd so they store more compactly!

Use MediaCoder. It will convert any movies you have to any file format that you want, preferrably .mp4 for movies or .avi. The standard DVD format is .VOB, and you'll have a hard time finding a program that can read those for free. Using MediaCoder you can convert them to the much smaller .mp4 format and put them as data files onto a DVD or actual watchable DVDs.

I have a dvd movie that will play on my computer but not on the home dvd player can this be converted or burnt to enable playing on the home player

The answer is yes, but the solution may be illegal. if your disk doesn't contain copyrighted material? And you already have this in your computer it is easy, just reburn the DVD at 1X speed. A lot of DVD's today are burned at a 4x speed as a base speed. Any DVD player that was bought before a certain date can only play DVD's that were burned at 1 x speed. Also there are DVD's players that might not be able to play Dual layers DVDs. So the best solution to your problem is to buy a new DVD player for around 30 - 100. Some of the cheap players can solve this problem for you way eaiser than figuring out how to capture and reburn your data. Especially if it is copyprotected.

Unable to play back

Shouldn't matter what the OS (operating system) is. What you need to do is to make sure you convert the movie to proper format which would allow you to view on DVD player after burning. Usually you need a seperate software. Your DVD player should say what formats are compatible. Usually listed on unit or in manual. Avi is a great format but when you burned it to DVD your computer probably created a Data Disk. Which would make it unreadable by DVD player. Check to make sure you are able to convert to format that's readable by your player.Good Luck
