Question about Sanyo DS24425 24" TV
I have had my sanyo 25 inch tv for 6 years. it buzzing loudly and i dont know why. i thought it was my u-verse cable, but it seems the tv just is buzzing and i see there is a running ling that goes verticle. is it my picture tube? would it be cheaper to repair or buy a new tv?
As I have said to someone else with the same problem, with the back off looking at the back left front corner is where the problem is located.Slide out circuit board, you may have to disconnect white wire in this area which is the degaussing coil wire.Look for little blue box(power relay) there is a capacitor near it at location #c622 which is a 470uf 25volt capacitor.Once you locate and remove it replace it with a 470uf 35volt capacitor.Observe polarity of capacitor the white dot on the circuit board is negative.I have repaired the same unit with the same problem for a friend and that was the first part I replaced and problem solved.I was a electronic tech. now it is a hobby. To make the bottom of the board easy to work on I layed the t.v. face down then pulled the board out to work on it.Good luck and remember the caps. are still charged so dont touch the big ones.

Sounds like power supply buzz. Usually means dried- out electrolytics, U need a serviceman. Could be frame buzz, but I think unlikely.
