Re: wont turn on

No, most units will at least work basic functions without a remote. What is the make / model? I would take it back as soon as you can.

Why cant I get volume to come on, dont have a remote

If there are no volume buttons on the device, and you know it is switched to the correct source, then yes, you'll need a remote.

Can you operate a marantz cd redorder without remote control?

Any CD recorder should be operational without a remote BUT there may be some menu items that might not be accessible. It strikes me as a poor design when you are required to use a remote to operate a device for basic functions.

Here is a link to obtain the owner/user manual for that wurlitzer if you would like it:

1. Turn power on using either the remote or power button located behind tuner door.

2. Push CD / RADIO BUTTON (25) to enable FM tuner.

3. Turn FM dial to desired station.

4. Position FM ANTENNA (16) for best reception.

I am trying to connect a Kenwood CD Player to the Denon amp. I am using normal av cable and connecting the output from the CD player to the ''CD'' jack of the Denon amp (no 2). I am not able to get the...

I agree with this answer:try to connect the CD Player output to the working input on the Denon Amp( say tuner remove it temporarily).

try if it works, then you have a good CD player

if not check if there is volume available on CD player , turn it a little bit higher, using remote control

check if the CD is reading the disk

check also the connector you are using

check if there is a known working CD audio inside the player

if still having problems state the model of your CD player

hope this helps, thanks for using Fixya!

• To switch off the Auto Track function you have to enter
Menu mode.
If you wish to increase track numbers manually, press
TRACK INCR(ement) on the remote control. For further
instructions see Menu mode.
ON (AUTO): The track increments are automatically taken over
from the digital source material or after 2.7
seconds silence during analog recording.
OFF (MANUAL): While recording track numbers can be
incremented manually by pressing TRACK
INCR(ement) on the remote control.
(Minimum track length is 4 sec.) (This can
also be done in Auto track ON mode.)

download the manual from JVC or buy new remote here is the web site to download from. I could read it and post it for you but thought you would like to have a manual for it for yourself. If you still can't figure it out post on this answer and I will reply to it later.
