My grandfather cleaned the erosion off my battery yesterday. After doing so I noticed today that my Automatic push wouldn't work for my window's Driver/Passenger. Also my Interior Lights on the roof won't come on when my doors open and the switch is on Door. Any clues to why my car could be doing this????

I interfaced the SAVV LM-S6001 today. Here's what I found;
Looking straight on at the male 8 pin DIN connector here's how I'll describe it. There are 3 pins across the top row. From left to right I'll call them 8, 7, 6. There are 2 pins on the left side of the middle row, 5 leftmost and 4 adjacent to the center. Moving right, there is a gap and then pin 3 on the rightmost side of the middle row. There are two pins on the bottom row, pin 2 on left and pin 1 on right. Draw that on some paper.
8 7 6
o o o
5 o o o 3
Pin 1 is +12VDC
Pin 2 is center contact of both audio and video RCA jacks
Pin 3 is -12VDC
Pin 4 is outer RCA contact for Video
Pin 5 -n/c
Pin 6 -n/c
Pin 7 -n/c
Pin 8 is outer RCA contact for Audio
Now, I don't know what pin 7 does, but it is wired next to pin 4 suggesting a video application, Svideo is my best guess. I can only test for a composite video connection that I am using.
Make sure that the starter wires are secure and in the right place first. It could also be a sticking solenoid. I suspect a wire not connected to the starter. Let me know if it works so I can help you more.
By changing your battery you reset the DVD player and locked it out. It now wants the code to restart.

I hope this helps,
