Optiplix 780 soun problem

What kind of sound problem? Tell us what is happening?

Do you have the speakers plugged in the right port (light green port)? Have you checked to make sure the speakers are turned on and the volume is up? Have you looked at your Audio/Sound Properties to make sure the volume is up and the sound is not muted? Have you checked the device manager to make sure none of your sound/audio devices have a problem?

If you have a megaphone at the bottom right near the time Doubloe Click on it and make sure nothing is muted and volume is turned up. You can also get to the Audio Sound properties in the Control Panel, click Start/Control Panel and look for Audio/Sound. You can get there by clicking Start/Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/Volume Control.

How do i turn the volume up

Did you turn up the both (at the PC Audio control panel and at the Monitor control panel) volumes up?
Try using MP3 player or any audio sound sources feeding the monitor audio input to see what happen also.

I have an ABS laptop. I have gone into control

First make sure nothing is muted.
Start>Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices

If nothing is muted, and your volumes are up and still no sound, try updating your audio drivers,

Start>Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Sound Video and Game Controllers

Right click your audio drive and select Update driver.

My computer can't play no sound I went to sound

Hi,

When did sound work fine on your computer. Try this :-
Open device manager(Start - run - type devmgmt.msc) and expand sound video and game controllers.
Right click all the submenu underneath and choose uninstall.

(Note : All the menus will not give you an option to uninstall, dont worry)
Uninstall those which gives an option followed by restart your PC and see if it works.
If it doesnt, click start - run - type services.msc and look for windows audio service - make sure ot is automatic and started, if not make it.

Let me know the status.Awaiting response.

Thanks.

I'm sure you went to Control Panel, opened device manager, and and checkeck for any yellow checks for your
sound, video and game controllers. If there are none, your system is go. Then go to your audio manager on control panel, and set it up for whatever speaker configuration you have. I have realtec audio manager. This step is a must for configuring—you choose whether your laptop will use its own speaks or use your external speakers—you have to turn off the internal speakers and turn on the external. Did you forget?
