The other party is able to see me clearly via video however I have difficulties seeing a continuous picture of that party. Reception seems to turn green once the start video button is activated. Why would this be so?

If you are getting the LG screensaver then that suggests that the video circuits are good. Since the menu is working, try connecting something to one of your video inputs and see if that works. It should.
If so, then the difficulty lies with the fact that there may be something wrong with the tuner section of your television.
Sounds like your cable has become disconnected at some point between the television and the outside connection. Start by unplugging the cable at the rear of the TV and then reconnect. Check the picture. If no success, then trace the wire back to the next connection point and disconnect and reconnect. Continue to trace your line until you get to the point where the outside cable connects to the house. If you do not get a clear picture, then you will need to purchase a new cable.
Hello! I don't think, that "antenna" has something to do with that. Unless you forgot to change reception mode to Digital TV(broadcast). your display should show channel ## looks like: 3-1, or 3.1 an so on. also, the menu on TV must be shown clear in any case. If that's not a case, all you see is just those lines, blame the TV itself. T-con module or display panel is at fault. Try to run DVD player via TV. If you still see those lines, TV needs repair. Thanks, Alex.
you need to select High definition output on the PS3. Connect it via hdmi and via standard lead switch the tv to standard so you can see the picture then select high definition output. Switch over to hdmi and you should see a picture
this is a problem with the reception in your area. It should be resolved with an adjustment of your antenna to a location of clear reception.Ask someone in the house watch the television while the antenna is being adjusted for best reception and set the antenna. If you have cable, you must contact the cable company and ask them if they have a resolution to the reception problem. Hope this helps you with your problem.
You can change the way the channels can be displayed/viewed by a video setting, consult manual. When pic breaks into pixels and sound goes it's usually a reception problem so you'll have to adjust the antenna facing a direction that makes that channel come in clearly. It helps to experiment with positions and antennas.
