Question about HP Officejet 9110 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Cannot print in color on HP OfficeJet 9110 All-in-One

I do not have the install CDs but was able to make it work by downloading drivers and the firmware update from the HP website. I cannot, however, print or copy anything in color. All settings are color but pages come out only in black and white. Also, it's skipping lines when it prints. Please help!

    Ink cartridges show as full, and there are no error messages about the printheads. Any other suggestions?

    I can not print in the color yellow. I changed the ink cartridge, cleaned the print head, ran a test page. Still no yellow.

Nothing to do with the driver, I'd say the cartridges are your problem, skipping lines and missing colour are indications of needing new ink carts, are carts new HP ones?

    run test page(report menu) and head clean(maintence menu)



    if they are bad prints then it is not driver, it is the heads or inks, non Hp inks cause issues



    if test page prints perfect then it is a driver issue.

I cannot run the driver (HP officejet 9110) for window XP . I downloaded and tried to install but there was no EXE. file. I tried to unzip, too.


Most drivers for printers are just code on a note pad page, when you click on add printers, you choose the make and model and sometimes windows has the driver built into, if dosent click on have disk tab and browse to the driver you downloaded, it should pick it up and install it. If it is a zip or rar file you might have to unzip to a new folder on the desktop. if it dosent unzip then it may be a corrupt file. hope this helps.

Horizontal pink & blue lines across color pictures that I print.


In the past when I have seen this on my old printers, it is the color cartridge. Eithe the haed is cloged or it needs to be replaced. You could try to take the color cartridge and set the print head(copper colored end) on a damp towel for a little while and see if it will release the clog. (HP uses mostly water base inks and they dry out sometimes) Then wipe the head on a dry cloth. Reinstall and try again. You should also have software for HP to prime the head and clean it. Try that and if you still have problem, replace color cartridge.

Stripes in my color print jobs with Officejet 9110


HP software comes with a head cleaning option.. run that thru 3x and make sure you clean all of the printer ink cartridge using rubbing alcohol.
