I have a 2008 Nissan xterra. I'm running all 0 gauge wiring to my jl system. 250/1 amp, 2 10" wo3 . My lights dim a little so I ordered a soundstream scx2 2 farad cap. I did not realize it was 24vdc

The capacitor will do little to solve the light dimming issue. You are experiencing the problem because you are at or near the capacity of the alternator/battery power output when playing your system at high volumes. You can add the cap in if you want to, the voltage specification is a maximum voltage, so it should not be a problem. I still doubt that you will solve your light dimming problem with it though.

Soundstream pca2000d started smoking on me what do you think is wrong

well. if it doesn't function after smoking, then it needs to go to a GOOD technician. ( if one is available to you) if not then send it to soundstream. if this was not a good amp , I would advise getting rid of an amp that smoked, however soundstream is a good brand and deserves another chance. (always depending on the cost of repairs)
hope this helps.

the Q4000 only funs 400 max and thats at 4ohms bridged 2x200 if you need high powered amps i would look at soundstream or MTX and you would need atleast 1 secondary battery cause to max a amp out you need to have constant 14.4 volts going to power the amp.

Don't know to conneect my amplifier connecting firdt a soundstream ecualizer

What are you running in to your amp? If it's a CD player or radio, find the wires from them, disconnect them from the amp and connect them to the equalizer, then connect the equalizer to the amp.

Tuning 8302 amp

The amount of power that youre going to run on those 5.25s might indicate that you need to turn the crossover to a higher cutoff frequency because they gonna want to kick pretty hard if your set too low - Sounds like you got it under control though flip it to high-pass(HP) and see how it does at around 100 HZ cutoff- be sure to turn off any bass boost on the amp though too- Let me know how them soundstream mids do- I have a set of subs that kick *** but i never have heard anything about their mids-good luck

Soundstream300 amp how do I hook it up to my pioneer head unit

That depends on which wires you are referring to. High level inputs or low level (RCA) outputs? If you are thinking about trying to wire the amp up to your Pioneer direct, ie; running the power and ground off of the factory harness, think again, you'll fry your electrical system. You need to run a seperate power kit (8 gauge minimum; 4 gauge pref), then run RCA's from the line level outputs on the Pioneer. If you are planning to run a sub with the Soundstream then run your RCA's from the Pioneer's sub output. Let me know if I can help you any further.

Need to know average amperes need to run at moderetly loud level

Go by the fuse rating on the amplifier as a default. i.e. - If on amp has a 40 amp fuse on the outside and another has a 30 amp fuse on the outside, then you need to supply at least 70 amps of current. the formula works like this: amps X volts = watts. Doing the math here, for an amp to produce 1000w of power @ your vehicle's 12v power, you need 83 amps of current. Most cars produce 14v from the alternator when running, so this is really only needing 71 amps. Make sure your car's alternator can supply the excess current when running. Most modern amplifiers are efficient enough to produce their wattage with even less current than that.

Amp staying in protection mode

No, this amp is not a heavy power consumer- matter of fact it takes very little power to run.Maybe you should check the fuses on the amp to see if they are what is recommended. Also check your fuse kit to your amp- your fuse might not be big enough. If neither works take it back where u got it.
