I have had this cd player for a couple of months everything is connect right, i know because in my spare time i work on car stereos, but anyways starting about a week ago every time i hit the eject button to take the same cd that has been in there since it started happening, the play won't eject, it doesn't make any sound and seems to freeze on the eject screen for about 30 seconds and then just goes back to whatever i was on before i hit the button.
is there any way to fix this or am i going to have to get a new stereo?

Re: Cd won't eject
Sounds like the c.d. has a paper label on it, yes? my stereo won't eject c.d.'s with paper labels,....reach in there with a pair of thin needle nose plyers and yank it out,.....good luck, cracklin joe,......

The player is recognizing that a CD has been inserted but is not able to read it.
Sometimes the lens assembly becomes contaminated and obscures the laser. I'd try using a commercial "lens cleaning CD" two or three times and then try a CD again. These lens cleaning CD's are widely available. If cleaning does not help, the player need professional service.
If you dont have a cd inside the player, Then use a spare cd and cover it up with a thin, soft and clean cotton cloth and move it back and forth in the cd player. This problem occurs when the ejctors get dirty.Make sure the the player is in the OFF position when you do this.If you have a cd insde then you will need to eject it by force using a vey thin screw driver and prying the cd to make it eject.
lol i had that happen to me once i had to take out the stereo plug it bk in but turn it upside down and then eject it after i did that i never had a problem with it again but then again i only kept it for another month then got a new 1, good luck hope this helps
