Clearing previos owners name off ipod nano 3rd gen.

I own this ipod, my first download was from friends comp. automaticly assigned her name to my ipod. from her computer ipod info. How do I put my name insted of hers?

Once you plug your ipod into the computer and it shows up in itunes, just click on the name of the ipod (on the left side of the screen), then click on it again about a second later and the text will highlight allowing you to rename the ipod.

Also if you ever restore the ipod through itunes you can set the name of the ipod when it finishes restoring too.

I charged my 4gb nano 3rd gen ipod, but it won,t

slide the hold switch on and off a couple of times...then press and hold menu and center buttons till an apple logo comes on screen...connect to system and restore with itunes.

Yes, it does seem like a rip off, but that little bit that seems to be gone is actually being used by the software that makes the iPod work, without it you would not be able to use your iPod at all. So don't worry, it is completely normal that you are missing half a GB.
