Question about Hitachi CP860960LAMP Projector Lamp for CPS860W, CP-X960

Hitachi CPS860 LCD Projector

Recently I replaced the bulb in this unit and now I continue to get a message at startup that the bulb needs replaced call a maintenance technician. After a few minutes the message disappears. I have reinstalled the new bulb, pressed the reset switch numerous times, and looked into the owners manual. Unfortunately, the owners manual says nothing but replace bulb. There is no troubleshooting section. Any ideas

Turn On. Press RESET switch for 3 or more seconds until a lamp and 2000 message appears in the middle of the bottom of the screen. Press RESET again and this message will expand to include cant remember then press arrows left arrow and the 2000 will reset to 0. If the first press does not immediately provide a message press it for longer and expect to see message on release. As mentioned you have to be quick otherwise the menu dissapears. If this happens just do it again until you get it completed.
Thanks to the previous reply.
This works it has just been done on a CPX960 without bulb replacement. SO
Dont replace the fuckin thing till it needs to be replaced.

Press and hold the reset for 3 seconds and the lamp timer will come up. Then use the arrow keys to set the time back to 0hrs. This can take a few times to get the keys pressed before time-out, be patient.

Hi
sounds like the bulb has failed.
Recheck the connections of the bulb in its holder but failing that you will need to buy a new bulb.

Lamp problem

Hi wll3mor

I've only had this problem once before , and it was the light tunnel that caused the problem.

My suggestion would be to rather take the unit in to a repairer for a assessment.
