Bowling skill ranks are determined on how well you do in each game. Once you reach PRO, you get a sparkling ball. For Shrek I don't know, but for Wii tenis, I know that you can set the players to be cpu or player conrolled. I guess your daughter has set all of them to be controlled by the cpu. I think when you're setting up a game in wii tennis and you see all the players standing on the court (still in the menu screen) check to see if it says player or CPU.
@ Slivic22 Some games does not use Sensor Bar pointing because they play with motion/accelerometer only. After you select the number of sets on Wii Sports Tennis, there is no Sensor Bar pointing except for Pause menu. That's because you Swing the remote like a racket.

you sensor bar is likely not working write because the wii contrl was going to fast and to close to it at the same time + the impackt must have hurt the main cesor inside of it
Have you tried the game settings?There is an option in the wii menu to adjust the wii mote to the sensor bar.Also make sure both are clean.Be sure the sensor bar is centered with the tv,and make sure you have fresh batteries.Hope this helps!
try syncing the remote (under the cover on the back of the wii remote where the battery's are there is a circular red button press it then on the front of the wii where you can put your SD card there is a rectangular button press it if that does not work then try doing it the other way around if that does not work keep trying if that does not work i dont know what will
