Monster cable its good for our amp but do nothing for the battery its all depend how many amp our amp take away from the battery if our alternator is 90 amp maximum the alternator output is 75% off 90 amp =70 amp available if each amp take 25 amp you only have 20 amp left for everything else there no way our alternator is enough that y you drain the battery you need a bigger alternator and battery the minimum you can do is put ourself another battery you gonna have more capacite but you gonna have to charge it up at night put a little battery charger 2 or 3 amp per hour that should fix it cheaply hope it help dont forget to rate me cheers

I have 2 kicker cvr 15 4ohm dvcs and a performance teknique ICBM power 4000 watt 1ohm stable amp when I hook up my speakers 1 ohm it kicks my amp into protect when I wire it at 4 ohms it works fine how do...

Are your subwoofers wired in series or parallel? Check your connections, if everything is ok, the problem is with your amplifier. It might have a blown capacitor inside or its not really a 1ohm stable amplifier. Have it repaired if thats the case.

I Hooked up a Performance Teknique 1200 watt 2 channel amp to my 2 12" comp kickers. and before doing all this i took out the fuse. from my car battery. after everything was hooked up i put the fuse back...

disconnect the amp and then put the fuse in.if it blows, there is a pinched wire causing a short.
Also, big amplifiers like that have to be wired battery direct.
the surge current at boot up can pull 100 amps for 10 millisec.

I have 2 perfomance teknique 700wts and i dont know what kind of amplifier use

Hello perezmagdiel,

That 700 watts is maximum peak power, not RMS. If you're looking to not spend a lot of money for an amp, but want something that sends enough power to the Performance Teknique's, I'd recommend a 2-channel like the Boss Diablo D400.2. It's plently powerful enough and if you change out later, the amp can be bridged. And for inexpensive, it's got a lot of nice features, including a remote level control. It's 2ohm stable in stereo. Nice, for under $70.

Hope this helps.

DD, JL and pioneer in that order. I don't recommend any particular size but 12s are a good compromise.

Audio system set up

Well one problem is you might need a smaller amp depending on how many speakers you have, 1200 watts is way overpowering for 300watt max speakers and could possibly blow them and even catch them on fire!!!! But everything else is compatable because all of your epuipment is of a newer products but if you dont have 4 guage wires or anything else make sure you get them heres a list: 4 gauge wires for power and ground, REM wire "blue is the normal color" RCA jacks, A compacitor, fuse for battery to amp to keep system from blowing up, 8 gauge speaker wire or even 12 guage to hook up from the amp to the speakers, That should be the common things you need to have a good thumpin system!!!!

Diagnostic light

Best thing to do is disconnect all the speakers with no input on the amp turn it on and if its still in protection seek help in the repair of said amp at If the protection light goes out then start to put back on each speaker with no volume and the unit off. if you get to a speaker that makes the unit go into protect then leave on that speaker and disconnect all the rest .. If the protect remains then something with that speaker or wiring is bad BUT if after disconnecting the rest of the speakers that you hooked up then theres is still a power issue with your amp
