Question about IBM ThinkPad T20 2647 Notebook

Thinkpad We have managed to lock the notepad on to a function and do not know how to get it to go off. Some of the keys show a numeral on them , and at the moment pressing these keys only brings up a number not the letter!

Turn off notebook. When turning back on, press the ESC key to bring up "setup" mode. One of the setup menus should allow you to select NUM LOCK function. You want to "de-select" the function.

Why my asus a3000 keyboard not function correctly when i push U I O P the function is number when i push this key

NumLk (Numbers Lock) has been turned on. Pushing U I O P results in 4 5 6 * and pushing J K L results in 1 2 3. NumLk allows a block of keys on the right side of the keyboard to function as a numeric keypad to facilitate easier entry of numbers or numeric related data. There is an indicator that will be on when NumLk is on. To turn NumLk off, you need to push the key that has NumLk on it. It may be combined with a function key in which case you will need to hold down the Fn key while pushing the NumLk. If you manage to push the right key(s), the NumLk indicator should turn off and the keyboard will revert back to its normal operation (without the numeric keypad).

I pushed a bunch of buttons on my keyboard and i somehow managed to lock my function key. if i push my arrow keys my volume changes. ho do i unlock my function key?

Push the same 'function' key, to unlock it, and thus return to "normal" mode.

Or, turn the computer off, then turn it on.
